Regional Sales & Marketing Director Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe

A formidable and highly successful global organisation in its own right, our client is a key division of a substantial Fortune 100 organisation. Arguably the most trusted speciality logistics company in the world, operating across in excess of 50 countries worldwide, they provide high value complex logistics solutions (often temperature sensitive/time critical etc) to the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry. Whilst business performance remains strong, there are significant opportunities to maximise and as such, we now require an outstanding Regional Sales & Marketing Director who can operate in an organisation poised for significant growth.

Responsibilities:

• This is a substantial role where the incumbent must be able to lead a high performance agenda, where you will lead the top level commercial strategy for the region.

• Operating within a matrix structure, you will be required to provide outstanding leadership and be responsible for the execution of sales, account management and support regional marketing within the Nordics, Central and Eastern European region, in line with the overall business strategy.

• You will develop and implement a strategic commercial plan for the region, ensuring the business offer is highly relevant, whilst managing the entirety of the sales process from segmentation and target identification through to opportunity closure and ongoing key account management.

• You will provide strategic support to the global sales and marketing teams in order to execute the go to market strategy for all business segments within the region.

• You will review and constantly re-align the sales and commercial plan in line with market demands, ensuring the business can respond effectively to market opportunities in order to achieve improved market penetration and increase profitability.

Person

• The successful candidate will have extensive international commercial, sales and marketing expertise gained within a highly complex B2B environment.

• As such, you are likely to be working within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical/ biological sectors within either a manufacturer, wholesaler, reseller or contract research organisation. Alternatively, you may be working within high value logistics/freight forwarding/facilities management, where complexity is part and parcel of everyday life.

• The preferred location for the incumbent would be Germany, Sweden, Denmark or Austria and naturally travel throughout the region will be a necessity.

• Fluent in English, intellectually powerful and action orientated, you will have outstanding commercial acumen, the passion and charisma to influence those around you and will be distinguished by your ability to achieve major breakthroughs in business performance.
